Happy Birthday Grandma!!

70 years ago, today, 4/17, my Beautiful Grandma was born. She is an amazing woman who has taught me everything I know. She has taught me to love without limits, to give back to those in need, to listen when someone needs an ear, and to lend a shoulder whenever anyone needs it. She has been my supporter, my rock, and absolutely the best grandma anyone could ever ask for. Unfortunately, I cannot be there to celebrate her birthday with her. I moved to Virginia and she is back in California, so I have put together my own celebration in honor of her and her birthday. Please help me celebrate my wonderful grandma!!

  3. My grandmother passed away at 92 yrs young. she was my safehaven in a very abusive childhood. Her picture hangs above my kitchen sink and I talk to her everyday. She worked for montgomery wards and had a closet in her apartment where she stored the toys she would get on sale. Whenever we could visit we got to pick something form her stash. She cooked homemade Italian food and baked cookies from scratch. She was my God send and I truly believe that the good in me was inherited from her.The only good memories from my traumatic childhood revolve around my grandma. She was my rock!
thanks for the opportunity to win that awesome jewelry. The earrings especially remind me of the types of things she had in her jewelry box.

  4. My favorite memory of my grandma is being with her on her 92nd birthday (last week) It was nice seeing how happy she was to have all of her grandkids and great grandkids there. It makes me happy to know that my children are able to spend time and know her like I've gotten to my whole life. I don't know why it always wants to post as unknown but my name is Andrea Reaves

  7. My favorite memory of my grandmother was going to her house after church on Sunday for dinner. She would fry up chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, creamed style corn, fried okra, homemade biscuits, and her wonderful sweet tea. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the banana pudding for desert. I couldn't wait for each Sunday!

  11. Every memory I had with my Grandma was my favorite. But more specifically, when we used to go walking to 7-11. I would always get a Slurpee mashup, and some kind of little toy or whatnot. But just going there in general was fun. I love my Grandma, and unfortunately Cancer took her away in '97. Miss you Grandma. <3

  12. Going to her house and spending time with her, we really never got to do it as much as we would have liked, and now we live in southern Georgia and she lives in upstate New York, so we see her even less now. We haven't seen her in 7 years..My son has never met her, and my nephew was too little to remember.

Another time she got excited while driving and she pulled up on the wheel, and it LANDED IN HER LAP!!! I thought we were going to die! Either in an accident or laughing..lol

  15. My Father was the first Father In my County Genesee county Michigan,to win full custody of his children.. and my grandparents helped my father raise us girls.. One of my fondest memories of My Grandmother was I used to sit home with her in my younger years while sisters were at school.. I remember watching soap operas with her and of course she always took a nap. She was also a Loud snorer and Very,Very ticklish..I remember I would always take the metal end of the old Fly Swatters and slip it in the side of her slipper as she slept and would mess with her which would always end up with me running out in the kitchen and around the corner cause I knew her SLIPPER would be flying soon. and I would no sooner get around the corner ,start laughing, and BOOM!!!! There was the Slipper...LOL By Golly that woman could throw them around corners... Oh the Memories... TY for the FlashBacks...Love you Grandma..R.I.P. See you soon!!!

  24. My favorite memory with my paternal grandmother, who I called Gram is when I was little she would always bathe me in her pink bathroom.
